The Holy Quran
Introduction: The Quran is the final, infallible, direct, and complete record of the exact words of God, brought down by the angel Gabriel and firmly implanted in the heart of his final prophet and messenger, Muhammad (sa).
The Quran
was learned and memorized by many of Muhammad”s companions and passed down to
us via meticulous oral and written preservation through the centuries. The
Quran is unique in a number of ways. God, THE GURDIAN, has perfectly preserved
the Quran and guaranteed it from corruption until the end of time. The Quran is
regarded, not just by Muslims but also by historians of religion, as the most
authentic religious text among the world religions.
How the Quran was revealed: Allah
had not sent down the Quran together. At a particular time ,a special section
was revealed. At first, in the cave of Hira a few verse of Quran was revealed.
Once upon a time , Muhammad was in worship of his God. The angel Gabril
came in front of him and told him,” Read”.
He (sa) replied “I don’t know how to read”. Then
Gabril punched him in the chest and released him. Like this two time told “Read”
and he also replied “I don’t know how to read” .After three times Muhammad (sa)
Started the reading of the Quran.
More talk about the Quran : There are 114
chapters,540 Rukus and 6666 Ayaths in the Quran .The Quran came to spread peace
among people, and to show the right way.
Here is
a sample of the Quran, chapter 112 of the English translation of it”s meaning:
“In the name of God, The Most Gracious,
The Most Merciful.
1. Say: He is
God The One and Only;
2. God, The
Eternal, Absolute;
3. He begets
not, nor was He begotten;
4. And there is
none comparable unto Him.”
Conclusion:
The Quran is for all people and is available to us in it”s original, living
language, Arabic. Not a single word in the Quran is the word of Muhammad, but
all are the words of God. Muhammad actually did not know how to read or write. God
challenges all those who doubt the authencity of the Quran to produce a single
chapter similar to a chapter of the Quran. It is the best book on earth.
